We are a research group at the Institute of Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the Charité Medical University in Berlin, Germany. We are interested in prenatal influences on asthma susceptibility in offspring.
Who we are
We are researchers specialized in reproductive immunology and allergy, who study how influences during pregnancy affect fetal and neonatal development as well as disease susceptibility in early life.
What we do
We use both epidemiological studies and mouse models to examine how prenatal exposure to stress, antibiotics, maternal allergy, or non-pathogenic bacteria affects asthma susceptibility in the offspring.
